Overview of Position

We are looking for a solutions-oriented team member who enjoys a highly collaborative on-site work environment, that likes to work both independently and as a member of the team. The Operations Specialist II is responsible for calculating all client directed monetary requests and all Portfolio Manager directed model strategy changes. Tasks range in complexity and require the ability to efficiently follow processes, think critically, problem solve under pressure, and multitask under tight deadlines. The role requires a deep understanding of internal systems with opportunities to improve processes and champion new workflow efficiencies. Clear, concise, and accurate communication skills with others, both written and verbal, while focusing on exceeding client expectations is critical.

Primary Goals and Supporting Responsibilities

• Process daily requests for client investment or reallocation needs, including but not limited to model strategy changes, stock gifting, raising cash, investing cash, and tax loss harvesting
• Daily administration of the order management system by keeping client, system, security, and market data up to date, including but not limited to a daily review of all portfolio cash levels
• Maintain all customized client portfolio restrictions and restriction groups
• Communicate with brokers and custodians to reconcile any settlement breaks
• Provide back-up to teammates and assist on projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services or a related industry
• Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is a plus
• Ability to solve problems, think critically, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organization and communication skills
• High quality work that is met with a sense of urgency and accuracy
• Successful work experience in a team environment with the ability to work independently
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Interest in learning new systems
